Abstract

We’re still energised by the fantastic days we spent in Groningen, where LuxHyVal and HEAVENN brought together hashtag#researchers, hashtag#engineers, consortium members, and key stakeholders from across the Benelux Hydrogen ecosystem.

During the Benelux Hydrogen Knowledge Exchange, we shared insights, explored new synergies, and strengthened collaboration between two major hashtag#EuropeanHydrogenValleys.

👉 A unique opportunity to drive innovation, technology transfer, and new partnerships in the region.

Programme highlights Day1: 🌟 Welcome words and overview energy for Groningen by Charles van Santvoord (New Energy Coalition - Netherlands)

🌟Official event opening by Jan M. (Benelux Union).

🌟 Key presentations by: Geerte de Jong (New Energy Coalition - Netherlands), Bradley Ladewig (LuxHyVal - Luxembourg), Adwin Martens (WaterstofNet - Belgium).

🌟A highly engaging Social Acceptance Workshop, led by Mariangela Vespa and Aline Adam from IZES gGmbH. The workshop divided the participants into groups fostering brainstorming about 3 key topics:

1️⃣ Relevance of Acceptance lead by Alicia Martínez de Yuso, PhD 2️⃣ Engagement Strategies lead by Aline Adam 3️⃣ Learning across borders lead by Kris Helten

Day2: 🌟A fantastic site visit to Groningen Seaports and other key facilities in the region. This was followed by a presentation by Wisse Hummel, Manager Sales & Business Development from the Groningen Seaports.

🌟The afternoon was rich of interaction with the presentation from Davide Galloni on Moving Hydrogen: Technologies, Trade-offs, and Logistics which sparked discussion with participants about current challenges and state of art.

🌟David Muresan gave a presentation about the 6 projects of Green Planet Pesse. Again, another engaging exchange led by Edward Doorten.

The event concluded with the LuxHyVal General Assembly, where we aligned on next steps and continued shaping a shared roadmap toward a more sustainable energy future.
